Good morning Rob

Chosen by God is indeed an excellent book. Predestination is one of those doctrines that tend to raise the blood pressure just a bit. Most denominations I can think of have a doctrine of predestination. It is the basis of that predestining where Christians disagree. The reformed position is that God freely chooses whom He wills based on His own sovereign purpose. The Arminian position seems to be that God looks down the corridors of time and chooses those whom He knows will choose Him. One position Gives glory to God and the other seems to concern itself with the "freedom" of the creature.

I personally hold to the Reformed position but I would not consider the Arminian to be outside the circle of orthodoxy. It's a very important issue, but not one to divide over.

OTOH.....denying the future, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ, and the subsequent bodily resurrection of all who are in the grave is a serious departure from "The Faith".

Both Brian and James have departed the faith on this issue like Hymenaeus and Philetus of old. Their main purpose in life is to promote this false doctrine and lead others away from the truth. I believe you were asked if you also embraced Hyper-Preterism but perhaps you missed that, so I will ask you straight out. Do you believe that Christ returned in 70 A.D. and that there is no future return of Jesus Christ?

I look forward to your response.
Greg
