TigerPaw,

Its been a long time since I've run into you. Hope things are going well.

Your system sounds nice. I am not too well versed in the internet sharing arrangement, but I am certain someone here will have some information. I consider this thread one of the best things about SI.

XP will get cranky if you do not activate. In short, it will lock you out of your computer after 30 days. Then you have to call MS and get your unlock code. You don't need to be on the net to activate XP. You can just contact MS with the number provided on the activation screen. It took me less than 10 minutes.

I had some game issues, but after installing the XP service pack, and the latest ATI drivers, the issues seemed resolved. One bad thing about no internet for your XP is that you will not be able to use the MS OS scan. Its a nice feature from MS that gives you a list of possible OS upgrades that your machine is missing and might need. You only install the items that you select.

Good luck. I have been very pleased with XP Pro, and after a few little problems during set-up I have found it to very stable.
