IF debka is right about syria, they have a chip to play. They can capture the wmds from themselves and make a similar trade as libya did, plus perhaps a golan settlement where there appears to be some posturing going on right now by both syria and israel re: settlement activity. It is their get out of jail card and their stay in power card and the normalization of the border with lebanon and israel card all wrapped up nicely so even bashir can understand. mike
PS and sharon can neutralize a front and hizbollah in one fell swoop as well leaving only the west bank future in doubt. Now lets here from jordan, egypt and Saudi arabia on that front. Out with arafat and in with a jordan protectorate financed by SA??/
