The one thing I know I had right was that it was an incredibly risky adventure into the unknown and that the Administration didn't have a handle on anything beyond the capture of Baghdad.

You were among the pessimistic ones. I expected our Army to run though the Iraqi one like a "Tasmanian Devil" and it did. So that risk was low to me. When we took Germany and Japan, the civil society held together. This one didn't. Among all the predictions, some had this right.

But I think we will look back in a few years and realize that what is going on now is akin to bumping into trees while we move through the Forest.
