"It is an reporter's personal opinion of the NY subway system, written for the Art and Style section." It was an outrageous, biased opinion cleared for publication. I would be equally disdainful of a large media outlet expressing a similar Right Wing POV. I have many hundreds of trips on subways in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Boston, NYC, (does other mass transit count?) That should qualify me for Blue status along with several million others who aren't "Blue", yet ride subways daily. Perhaps the time I spent in my car, "cling(ing) to <my> prejudices and misconceptions" outweighed the "the threat of contradictory experiences" I experienced in the subways & other forms of mass transit. I should have known that listening to my favorite music all that time in my car would be the ruin of me. <ggg>
