Even Egypt with its Western looking appearance provided us with Atta and 10 other terrorists and 9/11.

And folks like Atta were highly educated, yet still became involved in this militancy.. It quite similar to some of the Marxist movements that grew from disaffected youth during the '60-70s, at the height of our own baby boom...

I still opine there is a correlation between the militant radicalism during our baby boom, and what's currently transpiring in the Mid-East..

Except our society was stable and democratic enough to overcome and marginalize them into society (most into the democratic party.. hehe)..

This is what Chinu claims Arab governments and societies are strong enough to do.. However, he provides no evidence or datum to back up such a statement.

In contrast, it's apparent to me that the past 10 years have seen tremendous population growth in the region. Growth that has not been matched by economic growth.

Most of us don't have to be Nobel winning economists to figure out the negative repercussions that is going to have on these shaky, repressive, and often corrupt societies.
