Is adultery and divorce which is much more prevalent in the US than the Arab countries any better?

Yes, Chinu, it is much better. Because it regards women as actual, 100% people, with a right to make their own choices for good or ill, not as some man's property. And speaking as a woman, let me tell you, that's a lot better.

And don't try telling me how every society was just as bad 1,000 years ago. The Law of Moses is progressive in some respects when compared to Sharia, since you find in the Law of Moses the core idea that a woman's guilt or innocence is related to her own choices. The Law of Moses says that a rape victim is not guilty and should not be harmed. Arab custom in Egypt and Jordan today says that a rape victim must die to wipe out family dishonor.
