Originally feminists were "equity feminists" meaning they wanted the same for everyone--to eliminate discrimination. Somehow when I wasn't looking that morphed into what they call "gender feminism" which is hostile and bitter and shrill. Gave feminism a bad name. Too bad. I'm proud to be a feminist, an equity feminist, and proud of my own pioneering efforts. What's coming out of today's women's studies programs is nuts. They don't seem to realize that we fought and won.
