Howie, If the USSR was your, cold war, enemy, and Afghanistan was fighting them, what would you have done?? If Iran was your enemy, and Iraq was fighting them, what would you have done?? Foreign affairs are not stagnant. You have to play the hand you have been dealt. The tide changes all the time, and sometimes it washes into your boat. That cannot be helped when you are dealing on a global scope. You just have to make the best of what you are dealt, and that is what Bush has done. Clinton left him a pig sty full of unsolved problems.
