Where Bush is REALLY failing:
I think globalization is an unstoppable force. If you do any work that can be outsourced, it will be. There are 150 million people in India that speak better English than you do, may be better educated than you, and will work for a 1/10 of what you do and be eager, hardworking and overjoyed to have your job.
Even if your company goes against this trend, it will be driven out of business by lower cost competitors that follow it. The analogy is Wal-Mart vs. local stores.
So you have a job that can't be outsourced? All the unemployed from those jobs that can will be competing for your job. Many will be willing to work for far less than you're being currently paid.
The Bush administration apparently hasn't even noticed this phenomena. No statements, no plans, nada, nothing, zip. Once we lose our middle class, this won't even be America as we know it. Banana republic, here we come.
