If you don't mind, I am not sure I understand fully what you are saying.
The verse we are looking at:

Your view was:
<<The word " some " in this passage refers to the scoffers as per previous verses.
The words " you ", " anyone ", " everyone " is referring to the elect of God.>>
So lets plug in your interpretation...
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as "scoffers" understand slowness. He is patient with "the elect of God", not wanting "the elect of God" to perish, but "the elect of God" to come to repentance.
Can you see the difficulty in your logic when plugging in the interpretations you have supplied?
Again, the elect of God will never perish, as we both agreed. But your interpretation implies there is a possibility the elect of God could perish.
