The quad-stand for my monitors fell through, so I am looking for other solutions.

I was waiting on word of a new, improved model that will handle 21" monitors, and has improved adjustability. (The old model won't handle monitors as big as my Samsung 213Ts).

(Here's a link to info on the old model. lcdmonitorarm.com )

I called today, and found that the 2-monitor (side by side) version is available, but that it will probably be "several months" before the 4-monitor version is available.

The manufacturer is located in Australia. Apparently, they go surfing in January. I'm told the company is closed right now, and won't open back up for a while. The vendor got their shipment, and what's in it is what's in it. They say they can't even call the manufacturer to see what's up.

I did find a few more sources through a Google source. I'll talk to them tomorrow.

Actually, I think now I will wait until I get the monitors, and see if I really want a quad configuration, or if I'd rather have them side-by-side. I came across some "panoramic" mounting schemes.

I can simulate the quad setup by putting two of the LCDs on top of my two 22" CRTs. (And hope they don't slide off!)

Anybody here work with 4 screens? Which setup do you prefer?

I do think I am going to need a stand of some sort. It won't be practical to just use the stands that come with the monitors, because of the desk layout.

(Actually, it's a corner setup with surfaces on both sides, but the surfaces aren't real deep, and there is a "hump" where the side desks join the corner piece, and I suspect that's right where two of the monitor bases are going to land...)
