I just noticed that the international equities investing area on the website is GONE. I called Schwab and nobody could help me. Finally, I got a call back from someone who told me that I can no longer make trades in non-US equities online, and that I now must talk with a rep on the International desk. Actually, they first tried to convince me that because I could invest in US-listed ADRs at the usual commission price, that they had made international investing easier and cheaper. I know that many Schwab reps are clueless, but why do they assume that I am as well?
