B: Spectrum Sciences Announces $3.7 Million AMRAAM Container Contract From the D
partment of Defense

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., Jan 07, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ --
Spectrum Sciences & Software Holdings Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPSC) announced
today the award of a multi-year contract from the Department Of Defense,
totaling over $3.7 million. This foreign military sales contract, is for AMRAAM
(Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile) containers and states, "This is an
extremely urgent requirement concerning public exigency." The order will begin
shipping in March.

Dwight Howard, newly appointed Vice President of Spectrum stated, "Spectrum was
awarded this AMRAAM container contract due to our superior past performance
rating and our technical ability." Howard added, "Our ISO 9001:2000 Quality
Program was a must for landing this multi-year contract." The contract is for
CNU-431/E and CNU-572/E containers and requires delivery of 240 containers per
year, with surge capability to 300 per year.

During times of war, the CNU-431/E allows storage of 4 AMRAAM missiles in an All
Up Round (AUR) configuration. Missiles can then be delivered to the flight line,
pre-positioned in aircraft shelters and loaded directly from the containers to
the aircraft as needed, eliminating intermediate handling required for trailer
loading and unloading. In times of peace, the containers provide physical
protection and a moisture-resistant, controlled environment, providing long-term
protection from rust and corrosion. The CNU-572/E provides the same protection
for AMRAAM warheads during shipment and storage. Spectrum Sciences is proud to
have earned yet another opportunity to deliver quality products, on time and
without defect in support of our military's efforts.
