maybe a chance now for some sales growth. Veramark and DataVox Business Communications Win Major IP Telephony Account with eCAS Business Wire ~ January 6, 2004 ~ 9:44 am EST
PITTSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2004--Veramark Technologies, Inc., today announced that it has secured a significant eCAS(R) call accounting software sale through DataVox Business Communications as part of a Cisco Internet Protocol (IP) telephony solution. Internet Protocol (IP) telephony refers to communications services--voice, facsimile, and/or voice-messaging applications--transmitted through the Internet rather than the public switched telephone network. This win represents the first significant eCAS sale following Veramark's achievement of interoperability testing of eCAS, version 2.4, with the Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice and Video Integrated Data) Cisco CallManager, version 3.3(2), spC-MCS.
"Veramark is pleased to have our eCAS software included in this important win for DataVox," said David G. Mazzella, President and CEO of Veramark. "This sale clearly reinforces the value-add our eCAS software provides to resellers and enterprise users of Cisco CallManager, a product clearly at the cutting edge of Voice over IP telephony development. By staying abreast of emerging communications solutions, such as this new capability of effectively and economically making phone calls over the Internet, we have maintained our eCAS product's relevance to the evolving marketplace."
"By including the eCAS software in our proposal, we were able to create strong differentiation over the competitive bid," said Steve Ferguson, Vice-President of DataVox Business Communications. "The dynamic reporting capabilities of the eCAS software provide National Fiduciary Services the tools needed to readily pinpoint telecom usage trends which will allow them to control and reduce communications expenses now and into the future."
The interoperability testing was made possible through Veramark's participation in the Cisco AVVID Partner Program. Veramark's totally web-based eCAS software complements the Cisco CallManager solution by delivering comprehensive telecom usage reports and alarms that allow businesses to readily understand usage trends, leading to reduced communications expenses, improved productivity, and increased enterprise-wide security.
The Cisco AVVID Partner Program sets criteria for interoperability testing and helps leading product and services firms to deploy innovative business solutions. The program provides enterprise customers with information regarding Cisco AVVID partner products and services that the Cisco AVVID partner believes meet the program's criteria for interoperability with Cisco networking technology.
Designed for general business applications in organizations with 25 to 10,000 extensions, Veramark's eCAS call accounting system provides a comprehensive and accurate view of telecommunications network activity. The software provides user-definable reports instantly; and features Veramark's EZ-Burst(R) reporting system, a tool that automatically "bursts" reports in electronic format by cost center or department to the appropriate managers on a scheduled basis while retaining necessary security. Managers need only basic Web-navigating skills to view and analyze data.
Report definition is simplified in eCAS using a wide-variety of standard report templates that assist the user to define the data required in each report and the order in which the report appears. All reports are displayed in the browser, complete with links that enable the user to drill-down for real-time data analysis.
The eCAS software is fully network compatible and supports individual and multi-user access. It can also be used to consolidate multi-switch environments operating IP-Telephony and/or circuit switched communications platforms. The application software is installed on a network server and is accessed from any standard browser, including Microsoft Exchange or Netscape Navigator, using a login and password. Client software is not required.
