But that's exactly what Rush was arguing. His point was that sportswriters overrate McNabb because he is black (and they want to see a black QB succeed).

I don't think that sports writers were overrating McNabb because he was black. That was Rush's twisted interpretation. Sports writers laud athletes or pan them based on their performance, not their race. I think it was Rush's perception.

Now I agree that Rush should be able to say what ever he wants. Should ESPN give him a platform for that? It's up to ESPN to decide it Rush is a plus or a minus to their show and to their audience.

On the EIB mircophone Rush can say what he wants because he is the boss. But in these cases we are talking about businesses and customers, it's not the same as an internet political board in which no one has a commercial interest in what is said. In this case, as in the case of political discussions and protests, censorship has no place.
