"Conversely, there is no "truth" in politics, only compromise and, preferably, consensus." For those who believe this to be accurate, they are not much different than any rogue dictator or totalitarian Communist leader IMO. Attempting to build consensus & achieve compromise while excluding truth (which may as well include accuracy & objectivity), opens the door to attempting to gain power by any means necessary. Those ends do not justify the means. However, you have implicitly given your blessing to this form of politics if you believe that, "there is no "truth" in politics".
