Cbot teams with NexTrade to develop expirationless options 05 January 2004 - The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) is partnering Florida-based electronic communications network (ECN) NexTrade to develop financial products based on 'expirationless options'. Expirationless options are designed to offer participants new ways to hedge risk, speculate on future price movements and utilise investments - regardless of whether they anticipate prices to rise or fall - without the time constraints of traditional derivative products. Mark Yegge, NexTrade CEO, says: "We believe that expirationless options are a fundamentally new product class that can be used to create innovative, new derivative contracts with substantial utility." NexTrade has licensed the exclusive patent rights to expirationless options for international distribution from Economic Inventions, LLC.
