Does QDEL have enough cash to pursue an aggressive acquisition strategy? Last I saw, they only had 10 million in cash. What can they buy with that? Looks like a merger is more likely.

It's possible that QDEL is after someone with an HIV test. CMTR and SALV are possible candidates in this area. Of course, they may be looking in a completely different direction toward improving distribution or obtaining some new core technology that would allow them to leapfrog the competition.

In any event, things are starting to get interesting.
