Greetings again Greg,
Thanks for the advice, I will make it easier to find posts I mention by providing a link.
Now back to the scripture which I mentioned previously, which is;
John 20:19 and 20:26
<<< 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you
Of course there is no scripture saying Christ walked through walls, thats not what I was saying.
I stated that Jesus appeared to His disciples and Thomas on two separate occasions. The disciples were in a " closed room " as the scripture says the doors were shut, He then appears to them.....................How could He appear to them without coming through the door?.
A natural resurrected body, like Lazurus had when the Lord revived him DOES NOT have the ability to walk through solid objects or material.
Our Lord had a glorified body which resembled His earthly tabernacle in looks and functions.
I believe I also will have a resurrected body like Our Lords when I leave this earth...................with none of the earthly adamic body whatsoever.
Consider carefully these verses Greg;
2Cor. 5:1-10
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
These early Christians were looking for their new bodies, not made with human hands, but from heaven ( The Lord ). They were not concerned with their mortal fleshy bodies
Remember the time frame here is prior to the Judgement of God that happened in 70AD, this date closes forever the mosaic economy and a new era officially is proclaimed.
Have you considered why scripture says in verse 10, that all at that time and era must give account of what he has done in his body while on earth.
Sure doesn't sound like the Gospel to me, The people of this age were to be judged by " works "
We Christians are no longer under any judgement, scriptures clearly dictate this.
I trust this sheds some insight to what I believe scripture states.
Grace and peace to you Greg
