What's the thinking on Bush's new initiative to give illegal aliens the right to work here? I kind of like the idea, but the Devil is in the details, which aren't public yet. It looks like Tom Delay hates the idea, and Tom Dashiel wants to add to it. I wonder if they will qualify for minimum wage, workmen's comp, pay taxes, Social Security, etc? Bush may just be using it to win some Hispanic votes, knowing it'll never get through Congress. One commentator called it "Hispandering"!
