Given that U.S. politicians have absolutely no credibility
on this issue, why on earth would you trust them to
raise your taxes?

Samuelson claims that federal taxation would need
to rise from 17.8% of GDP to 24.5% of GDP to
supposedly "bail us out" of this current mess.
But, do you really think that the politicians would
act responsibly and "bail us out" with the increased
taxes? Hell no! They would promise EVEN MORE fraudulent
and actuarially unsound benefits to the voters, and
then in a few more years they would be whining that
taxes need to be raised to 30% of GDP!

Well, I say HELL NO to any more tax increases!
The politicians have no credibility on this issue.
Their whole fraudulent system can go broke as far
as I'm concerned... just like Enron...
The sooner it goes broke the better...
Only then can true reform be achieved.
