Carter was a complete disaster. You don't know anything about the 1970's. Things were MUCH worse than it is now. It was hell, Lizzie. And Carter was clueless of how to deal with it. Inflation was horrific, and so was unemployent, Lizzie. These two things are NOT supposed to happen at the same time, Lizzie. NOT !! It's called STAGFLATION, Lizzie, and it was awful. You clearly have no clue. Morgtage rates of 17%. I had friends who were arbitraging their 6% college loans into 14% money market accounts and making the spread. It was like a nightmare. Lizzie, you obvioulsy have NO clue.
