I think it was a move designed to collect more tax revenue. Immigration is here to stay, and no one has come up with a humanitarian way of shutting the borders and filling the void left when workers leave . Why is it considered bad to want to document foreign workers any more than American citizens. I was documented the minute I filled out my first W2 form. And my first paycheck certified that I was earning a taxable wage.

They should be paying their way like the rest of us and support the system, and thus themselves, through taxation......among other things.
