Was interesting Tom, ESPN was like a Joe Gibbs telethon today.

Sean Salisbury "guaranteed" that the "Skins will be in the playoffs in 2004"! I think as usual, SS will eat his words.

Anyone talk to the Eagles, Cowboys or Giants about this automatic playoff slot ?

I'd thought Snyder had hired Jesus himself .... so I'll be the first to say it. Gibbs will bring more structure and organization and work ethic to the Skins. No, they will not make the playoffs next year. There will not be a Parcells 6 win improvement.

Skins have much work to do .... salary cap wise they have problems. There are far too many players that I would not exactly label "character" guys .... and also some plain ole dead wood.

Nice for the Skins fans that they have a legitimate reason for optomism; to me, Spurrier was never legitimate but more of a headline to make a splash. After the splash, it was the same ole crap.

I will say this also, this is the first decision Snyder has made that I believe is a step in the right direction. Now, if the guy could just leave and move to the south of France or something and leave the football guys to their work, he'd be better thought of. As long as he's playing Jerry Jones, it's difficult to see the Skins getting to where Gibbs can take them in time.
