It really appears so... The economic well being of entire nations will be dependant on how imaginative and resourceful their respective leaders are or become as they react to very fast changing environments.
Bush is the leader, so he appears to be the one in command, the reality, I suspect it to be different. I believe he has been smart in the sense that he has surrounded himself with very smart people who best work in the shadows of anonymity. (a la Reagan)
The real commander, in spite of all the recent criticism seems to be Alan Greenspan & Co. (I am sure he himself has some pretty smart lieutenants under hm)...
Mr. Master of Disaster, aka Bernan-Kaput used to bother me with his comments, yet he seems to be getting away with it. He seems to have a lose mouth and I very much doubt that he says the things he does, under a " planned agenda" but then, there must be a method to his madness.... I think he is very bright, but can you imagine him as head of the Fed, making wild comments ?
... lol Then again... it may just be what it is needed... who knows.
You must love Bernan-Kaput, he seems to be a good Barbarian, the type that jumps ahead as a spear and surprises everyone in sight, as he throws grenades and smiles... what me worried ?. -g
