<<0.) Hire more damn people to enforce the law, process legal visas, and ensure security. 1.) Put up a big freaking electrified fence between US and Mexico(hahahahaaaa). 2.) Make everyone who wants to come over here and work apply for a visa with everyone else. 3.) Require proof that the legal immigrant will be paid a prevailing wage. >>
Believe ir or not, Doc, I'm with you on these ideas, but the question remains, how do you deport, or absorb, all these millions of illegals? If someone could give me a sensible answer to a very complex problem I would forever be in their debt(up to a point). You are, no doubt, to young to remember the incarceration of the Japanese at the beginning of WW2, but I'm sure you are familiar with it. It caused a great deal of sorrow and we are still paying for it. We have, with the illegals, a great human problem. Illegals, yes, but still people looking for a better life and that great open border beckoned. I don't know if President Bush's idea is the solution, or not, as I have not read it in its entirety, but it could be a step forward, with compromise, toward solving, or at least alleviating, the problem. I do know this, if I stood on the south side of the Rio, and had a starving family, I would swim across it in Guadalajara Minute. Chao....Ken |
