I was quite concerned in the second half of 2003 that all the predictions of NOPEC supply increases and limited production from Iraq would severally challenge OPEC in 2004.

With OPEC's muted production cutback starting 11/1, I think we had the opposite effect to 1997 when opec opened the spigots into a decreasing demand environment. The Asian economies must be booming along with ours and demand in currencies benefiting from the weak dollar must be booming as well. So here we are entering a very high demand period with OECD levels low and dropping, OPEC working with little remaining capacity while US/Chinese economies are booming.

I was quite assured when Greenlaw returned that we were not going to tank. He really is the best damn contrary indicator I have ever seen. I am glad I caught WFT's rise here on margin and calls.
