Congratulations to those of you who have been long this stock. Couldn't resist shorting it today, based purely on the explosiveness of the move which seemed (to me at least) rather excessive given the CEO's comments re the new NT pact and its affect on 04 revenues. Covered 75% of my short in the final minutes -- very satisfactory. Expect to cover the remainder tomorrow or early next week. This is a short term trade and obviously has nothing to do with the fundamentals, which appear to be improving.

Quick look at the balance sheet and the company's history is not particularly impressive. On the other hand, VOIP is very hot and AVCI would seem to be a potentially undervalued play, if the NT pact gives its products more exposure in an (?) improving market.

Those of you who are long, what do you think are the primary drivers for AVCI's prospects over the next 18 months or so? Can this company compete with Cisco, Juniper et. al.? Why has their success been so modest so far?
