  AUGUST 13, 1997 Delgratia Announces Management Changes 
  VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--The Board of Directors has accepted Dr. Charles Ager's request to take an indefinite leave of absence from his position of President and Chairman of the Company. 
  Mr. Eric Lavarack, MBA, currently Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the Company, has been appointed to the position of Interim President and Chairman. Mr. Lavarack has, for the past three years, overseen the Company's activities in Nicaragua and Mexico. 
  Mr. David Manning, C.A., will assume the position of Interim Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. 
  Mr. Manning is Secretary/Treasurer for the Company, and has been its Controller for the past three years. 
  The Company's key exploration activities in Nicaragua and grassroots exploration work in Mexico are ongoing. Over the last few months the Company carried out a significant sampling program separate from joint venture activities with a view to isolating targets for more advanced exploration.
