equity + index is interesting there -- not a two year low.

wish I had more stats at the tips of my fingers -- without checking, I would suspect that DTV action has shifted from equity options to the indices since those lows in equity p/c's that led to the selloffs culminating in the lows of Oct 02 -- also that the ETFs are trading much more volume as a part of the overall pie if you include those shares represented by the ETFs -- what do you think?

If that is true, we should not be looking statically at the equity p/c for some given threshold value?

that said, I think we are close in time, but maybe not price -- as someone else said, to a serious setback
