Clark won't need to wipe the floor with junior if 1.the stock market goes south 2.the jobs picture gets worse 3. Iraq melts down and/or 4.the war on terror heats up on the home front

FWIW I think number 1 and 4 could happen in tandem, and that could really screw Bush, especially if number 3 occurs as well, since it will be more clear to the public that junior didn't know what he was doing when he went into Iraq. I think if terror heats up and Iraq melts down people will FINALLY ask "WHY IRAQ????" "What about Pakistan? What about Saudi Arabia? Why the heck did you invade Iraq?" Of course some people have been asking that all along- but finally, finally, the man in the street might get it, and MIGHT, just MIGHT get that Iraq was not involved in 9/11 and had no WMD's. I can't give you odds on how likely that is, since Barnum was right, there is a sucker born every minute, and twenty more behind him to take his place.
