The only negative ad on the air this week was from a Republican-leaning, pro-business group, the Club for Growth, based in Washington. Its TV spot features an elderly couple who take turns denouncing Dean (and Democrats generally) as a "tax-hiking, government-expanding, latte-drinking, sushi-eating, Volvo-driving, New York Times-reading, body-piercing, Hollywood-loving left-wing freak show." Dean's camp has dismissed the ad as a ploy to stir up GOP supporters.
