You are absolutely right Gottfried. I do want to add however that I hope that at the bottom of the next cycle we will all be paying greater attention to low BP Numbers, high VIX/VXO ratios and high levels of put buying.

We could have bought a little KLIC at the bottom and a lot of less risky stocks in October 2002, or March 2003, and done very well.

Perhaps many did just that?

I led a discussion right here about the bottom as it was being put in but I let the downward momentum cloud my judgement and did not go long long-term.

Today I am concerned that it just might be possible that many here will not pay attention to the high BP Numbers, the low VIX/VXO numbers and the high levels of call buying.

I'm mostly in cash. Not the place to be last week.

What will the upcoming week bring?
