The clearing house is the one responsible for your stuff. Your broker can go under but if the clearing house remains sound ...No problem...Lotta these brokers are small potatoes but if they have ...say Bear Sterns behind them doin the clearing it don't matter...One of my brokers has their stock tradin on the bb's it's a penny stock but the clearing house is a large well respected firm. Having said that since I have every dime I got in the world in the markets spread out in three brokers just for safety I don't want'em all using the same house....parnoid? ...probably.

I would guess you confirmation slips would have somewhere on it who's clearing. If not their web site should tell you
