I always try to take outside events and apply them to the market as that is the way, I make my living.. Except of course like "defense" or "war type" stocks.. I have never bought an MIC stock even though, I knew it would go up.. Or even a stock in a company that makes violent video games. I am a conscientious investor.. And I sleep well because of it...
But "moving on.coug", I will talk a little bit about my current event play.. EMRG.. A tracking company for food stuffs, mainly for the beef industry, but also for the vegie industry.. Although a lot of libs are down on the Ag industry, I have yet to "meet" (no pun) a person, even a lib that didn't have to eat.. I am one and I have to eat, even if it is now mostly vegies, fruits and white meats. But I don't diss the people that eat beef.. But I try to eat carefully and in the most responsible manner, if one can..
Why, because whatever a person eats is a life.. Even if it is a farm raised fish, a wild fish, one that helps deplete the world's ocean.. A veggie pulled screaming, a tomato or apple fetus plucked, and on and on..
So I do not think tracking where our food stuffs are coming from is a bad thing.. As long as they don't start tracking me, <g> , but what the hell, maybe I am "soylent green"? (forgot the wording) for some one higher on the food chain.. Hell, I don't know, but I do know, I TRY not to be a hypocrite..
