I've been considering buying some gold. But after looking at this chart, it seems that history would be against me. wisegeek.com I had a buddy in high school who's aunt had given him a Krueggerand every year since he had been born. He thought he had quite a pile when gold got up to $800 oz., but he hung on, expecting it to go higher - of course, it was all downhill from there, at least 'till lately!
