yes, but you see, power is not for dumb and dumber (dems & reps) to give, it is for the Libertarians to win; the real problem is that the reason for the Libertarians to exists is the minimalization (if not the outright disappearance), of government.
the problem compounds when you have a population that has been reared with the flavor of the government tit in their mouth, a judicial system that allows an army of self absorbed lawyers crippling any innovative and productive effort with the fallacy that manufacturers have the responsibility (ahead of events), to THINK for the public, who increasingly has less and less COMMON SENSE. Of course, an education system that trains you to think like a bureaucrat, with no imagination (or inspiration) to think just a little different.
add to the above, that inherently, Laissez Faire carries enormous risk. Risk that the environment created by the above points, simply does not accept. --I mean those living under such environment.
So, the sad reality is that Laissez Faire lives only in one's mind. It is up to each individual to do what we can to create an environment as close as the ideal as it is feasible possible.
The irony of all this is... The super competitive world we are in the process of creating will FORCE most governments to favor Libertarian ideologies... o the alternative is to be a stubborn mule and be swept by competition...
The US government (actually a more appropriate comparison, would be the US labor unions), more and more reminds me of Monty Python's Black Knight... in spite of having his limbs all cut off and bleeding profusely, the idiot refuses to yield and pretends to be in a position to fight...
utterly laughable. -lol
I am trusting that the powers that be will realize this and begin making the necessary changes that while not achieving a full Laisez Faire environment, at least it will create one where we will have a better chance to be competitive.
So far, the interest rate environment and now this new immigration proposal does point in the right direction. |
