I just watched the "60 minutes" show. My main question on the ex Treasury Secretary is "Why did they hire the jerk?" That is a job for a salesman. There will be a couple of days of "gotcha" out of it, but even the show's attitude at the end was kind of "so what?"

The really interesting segment was the next on outsourcing phone banks to India. They did it well, and gave you some "in depth" with the Indian employees. Anybody who had been involved with phone work here immediately sees why you go over there. Much better people than you can get here at any price. That quality of an employee here would not work that job at any price except on a temp basis.

If I was back running a 20 employee phone room in the sales appointment business, I would outsource it to there. If it cost me the same or more than here, it would be worth it. The number and quality of appointments set would be way above what I can get a crew to set here. With no hassle.
