RMD, No, I'm not missing a lie. I never said that there were Iraqis, directly, involved in 9/11, but alqaida (sp?) terrorists trained in Iraq, with Saddam's blessings. It is not proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, but there are some links to millions of dollars being given to Bin Ladin, by Saddam. I would chose to err on the safe side, and take Saddam out.
Blix was a stumble bum, that couldn't even find the weapons, that were eventually found, such as the rockets, that were capable of carrying a nuclear war head, or the mobile labs that were capable of producing chemical weapons. When Saddam was convinced that we were coming, in force, he hid the rockets, sterilized the mobile labs, and even buried all of the air force he had left, in the desert. Where there is a seed, there is, or will be, a fruit.
Our troops are still in Afghanistan, but until you, or I, go over there and see the network of caves, mountains, and other holes in the ground, we cannot appreciate the difficulty in smoking a rat out of the barn. |
