LUV -- a new buy recommendation

We recommend the purchase of SouthWest Air Line (LUV @$15.30). LUV is a domestic airline in the United States that provides predominantly short-haul, high-frequency, point-to-point, low-fare service. For the nine months ended 9/30/03, revenues rose 7% to $4.42 billion. Net income increased 89% to $376 million. We estimate LUV had earned $.37 per share on revenue of $5.93 in 2003 and will earn $.60 per share in 2004.
