Or more or less as Porfirio Diaz said in Mexico's case, so far from God and so close to the US, eh? He was really onto something but didn't know it at the time.

What a lot of the Rest of You don't understand or don't accept because of the Way Things Are Done in many of Your non-democratic countries (which most of You are) is that the US is a vigorously democratic country with more or less smart people casting Presidential votes. There is no way that the American voter is going to let your fears become a reality, so relax and enjoy it as we make the world a bit safer for all of Us, including You.
