The denials of apologists are pathetic

After being away from my workstation for a while, I got back in time to catch the end of a Ted David - Alan Murray conversation (I usually have CNBC on mute). It was beyond pathetic. According to Murray, it was all just "sour grapes" on the part of O'Neill because of being fired.

He was acting like he was a CEO boss, and
didn't fit in. After all the Bush people
said they wanted regime change for Saddam
back in the campaign, so that wasn't news
to anybody.

Muray also played down the Reagan deficit conversation. He certainly didn't bring up the Cheney "our due" comment or Rove's "Stick to principle" or “Don’t waver" comments, that are in the transcript. He compared O'Neill to David Stockman in a dismissive way.

So spin, obfuscation, ignoring and maybe few statements that are loose with the truth, seems to be CNBC's response.

Like I said - beyond pathetic.
