there's no need for guessing. either God chooses to reveal these mysteries to us or not, according to His timeframe. if you want to understand when our Lord Jesus will return in glory you first have to identify mystery babylon. the two are connected.

speak for yourself. God simply hasn't chosen to reveal these things to you and others, for obvious reasons.

i most certainly never claimed that these prophecies do not matter. all of God's scripture matters.

listen to me SOROS. it is very simple. i've been trying to get you to recognize this for months now; you still have yet to acknowledge why God has not chosen to reveal these mysteries to you. let me be blunt.
SOROS, you are in the world. you are of the world. you run to and fro from website to website, chasing down every quack theory and news related item, demanding that people tell you when the kingdom of God will arrive, and in what manner. you then seek to gather a thousand different opinions from myriad numbers of men, and then wonder why you can't sort through all the rubbish. God does not desire for you to understand prophecy by asking a thousand different men their opinion. God desires that you ask HIM, for HE is the only revealer of secrets. until you put your faith in the Holy One who created you, and not in the wisdom of men, you will not be given understanding. it's that simple.
i've said it to you before, and i will continue to say it.
if you want to understand bible prophecy, you have to first and foremost make prayer and supplication to the Lord our God, and humbly acknowledge that only He can reveal to you the mysteries of God. after you acknowledge this, pray to Him every day, even multiple times a day, and ask Him to reveal His will, His purpose, His plan, for you and for the world at large. then you need to demonstrate your faith in Him by abiding in His Word.
many people don't properly understand this verse.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. --2 Peter 1:20
many people take this to mean that if it is not of private interpretation, it must be of public interpretation. well that is not altogether incorrect, as long as you properly understand the bible to be that public interpretation. after all, the bible is the most public book in history. let's approach it from another angle. when the verse uses that word private, let's understand that private means alone or apart. after all, when you desire some privacy, that means you wish to be alone or apart from others. so now let's look at that verse again substituting the alone or apart for the word private:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any [alone or apart] interpretation.
ok, so alone or apart from what? from the SCRIPTURES. no bible prophecy should be alone or apart from the scriptures. this is not to say that secular history or events cannot confirm what is revealed in the scriptures, but the revelation comes first and foremost from the scriptures.
now do me a favor, SOROS. go back and review some of your posts on this board that seek to explain and understand bible prophecy. are most of them news articles or websites describing current events and how they may be applied to interpret the scriptures? let the the scriptures interpret themselves, and let the scriptures form your worldview.
most people have it backwards. they form a worldview from secular sources (i.e. tv, movies, newspapers, magazines,secular books, pop culture, etc.), and then they seek to find things in the bible that support the particular bias prevalent in that day. the proper way to seek the mysterious character of God and to be given wisdom is to eschew the things of this world that pollute your mind. stop going to movies, watching tv, reading newspapers, listening to talk radio, immersing yourself in american pop culture, etc., all of these outlets which have been captured by antichrist forces. you will not get the truth from watching the nightly news. you will not get the truth from listening to some right-wing talk show host on the radio. you will not get the truth from reading the new york times.
you will get the truth from reading the word of God. |
