Ted, During his campaign, Bush said Clinton spent to much time intervening in world affairs and spreading our troops thin.

When did Bush say that? If anything, Clinton was criticized for having a lack of a foreign policy. "Spreading our troops thin" was a result of defense spending cutbacks, the only part of the budget Clinton actually cut.

Well, then, you should have seen the Bush commercial from his 2000 campaign. It was on the news last nite. He point blank said that we need to pull back from our global involvements......show more "humility". Can you believe that one? The administration with the most hubris in my lifetime.

I don't know why you don't see that Bush and company say whatever is politically expedient at the moment. Very little of what they say is the straight truth.....particularly on big issues. Iraq is one example. Another is the dealing with illegal aliens. Still another is putting a man on the moon.

An immigration bill as he proposes it will never get through Congress.......and he knows it. And we don't have the money to put a man on the moon and/or Mars. He knows that too. These are just very blatant attempts to get votes and to take away from the war.

I hope some of his supporters wake up before its too late.
