We have the means, right now, to cut the Arabian Peninsula in two and impose/offer new pathways and hopes, complete with free and broad opportunities to oppressed peoples. Of course the lefties will scream in pain. "It's all for oil." If that were so we would only need to drive north and south from our own borders to secure all the oil we can consume.
