Tejek & Thread, in Calif they are proposing a budget that cuts 138M from people who are disabled, blind, etc. If we have a population around 30M (?), that's only $5 per person. They are also cutting RND by $11M or so.

When they finalize the budget, they should post it online, and allow for people to click and pay a donation for any item cut.

Imagine being that blind person, knowing that there were no tax cuts, and realizing no one wanted to cough up a measely $5 for them. Makes you feel sick to your stomach to think someone can take their tax cut money and shop at Nordstroms while the blind person can't even get to a Safeway. It's extremely badwill not to make tax cuts somewhere - it sends an extremely classist message - that's certainly not needed during these harder economic times.

It really amazes me how out of touch leaders can be in terms of the give and take - even perception. It's ridiculous not to tax the upper income brackets. This extra money is not needed. Obviously, Arnold. believes in the trickle down theory, but you know what, this isn't the way to do it - on the backs of only one group - the disadvantaged group. Scary ruthless country.

I wonder if this generates a backlash - what does one look like just before they occur? Can you sense one before it happens? Was the 60s a backlash and how did it start?

Regards,
Amy J
