David maybe you,Paul, Jeff, Derek, Dick or anyone...That includes you Dee Jay<GG> can help me here. The following is an OLD (year or so old) clip from the TIA site. What I was wondering is this...has there been any news on what the FCC is doing or has done on this? I thought we'd have seen something like a temperary change or something by now!!

Here it is...............clip..............................

In the midst of all the progress, however, comes a wrench: Part 68 of the Code of Federal Regulations, which contains the rules of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), regulates the amount of power used to send a signal, with power limitation designed to prevent cross talk and interference. It is likely that implementation will have to limit modem speeds to less than 56 Kbps unless the FCC grants a waiver to Part 68.
