They'll dismantle some... the biggest issue is, will they dismantle Ariel, a rather large one (15,000 strong) which is right near Jordan? Right now, it looks like no, and until they decide that they can take down that one, the rest is pointless.


Ariel is near Jordan? I thought it was near Israel like the rest of the settlements. It looks like Sharon's namesake may be going soon.

As Israel's Housing Director, I am convinced Sharon really had ambitions of fully colonizing the WB and Gaza, and then annexing them to Israel. I guess he never counted on the voting issue or maybe he thought he could get enough Israelis to move into the occupied territories. I guess the emigration away from Israel in recent years due to all the turmoil has caused him to see the light.
