Tenchusatsu, RE: "Oh, that item is indeed being targeted all right ... by Democrats who want to accuse Arnold of being "insensitive" to the blind and disabled."

You are jumping to an incorrect conclusion, which isn't your usual posting style with me.

It was a budget chart. I am the one who am attacking that line item as something I feel uncomfortable with cutting. And it is indeed on the backs of the disabled, it's not a crock, but how would you know that, if you haven't looked at the chart?

RE: "As I said before, $138M is hardly anything compared to the $14B that needs to be cut."

Which is exactly why it stuck out as a wrong move. There were some other items they could have really slashed instead with greater gains. I mean, $22B for K12 school? Why not revamp the entire school system to reduce costs and simply import teachers from India - they certainly seem to know mathematics better than our teachers here. We need a stronger base of mathematicians so need to import good teachers sooner rather than later. Why should we export our hightech jobs simply because our K12 teachers can't step it up and produce better math students?

RE: "(Oh wait, you said the cuts are already from worker's comp. Funny how the news doesn't report that.)"

The graph made no comment on anything you suggest here. I was making the comment, by piecing together a graph elsewhere.

Reality check - you are empathetic to the disabled, right?

Regards,
Amy J
